I started a coffee company to make it up to my parents. The grown-ups handle the roasting. I handle the early wake-ups. This medium-dark roast is Mom’s everyday favourite. A little moment for her, between all the moments she gives me.
My mom drinks the 4:40 AM one. Before it, she doesn't talk. After it, she sings. I prefer after.
I kept my dad up until three. He had two cups of Tummy Time and took me to the park anyway.
My parents fight over the last bag. I've started hiding it. They don't know it's me.
The letter came in the box. My dad read it to me twice. He laughed at the road trip part. I didn't get it.
